For those who don't fancy golf or surfing but who prefer an active outdoor break the Basque Country is a privileged area for sporting holidays and we can organise an immense range of activities. With the nearest ski resort just over an hour away from La Maison Tamarin it need not be out of the ordinary to spend a day skiing and then return to the coast for dinner in one of the many wonderful restaurants overlooking the ocean.

Along with skiing, you can choose from river rafting, canyoning, rock climbing, fishing, sailing, windsurfing, water-skiing, kayaking, mountain biking, tennis, pony trekking and more! For a change of pace, walking in the Pyrenees is an absolute must and it can be as relaxing or as energetic as you would like. If you prefer being the spectator why not take in one of the famous 'Corridas' or bullfights in the Bayonne Stadium or watch a traditional Basque game of pelote or Cesta Punta, reknowned as the fastest and one of the most spectacular games in the world.
